QUIZ: Which animal matches your nursing style?

Though nurses all share a common goal of improving patients’ lives, each has a unique way of making it happen.

In fact, there are almost as many nursing styles as there are animals.

Are you fast like a cheetah? Wise like an owl? Take the quick quiz below to find out which animal best matches your nursing style. When you complete the quiz, make sure to share the results with your friends!

At RNnetwork, we get to meet lots of unique nurses. Here are some of our favorites.

Princess Conty, travel nursePrincess Conty decided that traveling would allow her and her husband to travel the country, with no strings attached. “It was a little hard at first to get rid of almost everything, but it’s about the experience. Travel nursing is something we always talked about when we were in nursing school,” Princess says. “We’re going to continue to travel together for a couple of years at least. We have nothing holding us back, so we are taking the opportunity to take jobs together.”

Travel nurse Elaine AbercrombieElaine Abercrombie loves how simple travel nursing has made her life. She says the biggest advantage of working with a staffing agency is having a recruiter find you a new job. It’s also nice not worrying about finding or paying for housing. ““The only downsides to travel nursing are adjusting to being the new kid on the block and learning new techniques,” Elaine says. “Even if you are unhappy with a place you decide to work, it’s only 13 weeks,” she says. “And if you love it, you can extend your assignment.”

Travel nurse Amy StoutThough Amy Stout has loved travel assignments, she’s been surprised that one of the best parts is getting there. “In March, I drove from Boise, Idaho, to Phoenix, Ariz., for a contract. I had never been through Utah, and I was absolutely floored by how beautiful the drive was,” Amy recalls. “From the highway, you can see parts of Zion National Park and Bryce Canyon. It was easily the most memorable drive I’ve ever taken.”
