Want to earn continuing education units while sailing the seas? Sign up for this year’s Scrubs Cruise, held April 30 – May 4.
The Royal Caribbean Brilliance of the Seas cruise ship departs from Tampa, Fla., and sails to Cozumel, Mexico, for a five-day journey. Known for recognizing healthcare professionals, the 2015 Scrubs Cruise also falls close to National Nurses Week (May 6-11).
But the cruise isn’t just for nurses. Anyone who wears scrubs for their work — including such varied careers as medical assistants, doctors, dental hygienists and veterinary assistants — and their family and friends are welcome to attend.
While you enjoy swimming, rock climbing and mini-golfing, watching live Broadway-style shows and ice-skating spectaculars, and even relaxing in a Solarium with waterfalls, you can also take continuing education courses to fill your CEU requirements.
RNnetwork, who is sponsoring the event, is providing two sessions, taught by our own Rachel Shafer and Susan O’Brien:
- Confidentiality in Healthcare: Legal and Ethical Concerns
- Documentation: The Process and Legal and Administrative Consideration
You can register for the courses now on the Scrubs Cruise website.
“The Scrubs Cruise is an exciting time to have fun, meet new people in the profession, catch up on CEUs and visit beautiful new destinations,” Rachel Shafer says.
